Inky Editions was established as a professional print studio in 2015, in Hudson, NY. A well-equipped printmaking facility, presented workshops in traditional etching, woodcut, and monotype techniques. In addition, innovative art programming and exhibitions were maintained in its large gallery space.
Inky Editions was founded by visual artist, George Tsalikis. He perceives Inky Editions as a container of ideas that exist within the possibilities for image-making in the art of Print, and the community of artists and art lovers that is building around it.
Post-Workshop
With the original physical studio currently closed, Inky Editions has evolved into a platform for public display and education. Its main areas of interest, remain focused on making, and promoting the fine art print.
Less a physical space, than a network of artists interconnected from across the country, the current format brings the makers of prints from different workshops, into one place. Projects are showcased online through our website, other platforms, and in important Print Fairs around the country. Thus, reaching large audiences.
It is the short of an art collective that brings together artist collaborations, individual projects, print editions, and portfolios by established and emerging artists.
Finding a way to exist as an artist studio and support other artists, a post-studio practice became a reality that persists; especially after the pandemic. Inky Editions continues to evolve into new formats faithful to its original mission of bringing artist advocacy and building creative community.
